Depending on your implementation, there may be an alternative to disparity map smoothing.
Smoothing disparity map may help, but it softens the edges due to manipulating the pixels of the captured image.
The structured light subsystem generates structured light patterns, decodes captured images, and also generates a disparity map which details which projector pixels are viewed by which camera pixels.
And the structured light subsystem then decodes them to create a disparity map.
We do this by using the geometry module to take in the camera and projector calibration data, as well as the disparity map, to calculate each of the points in the 3D point cloud.
